Real project · Website

A first website for Baba Yaro — with the booking that already worked built in.

Baba Yaro Barbers had a following on social media and a working Calendly booking link, but no dedicated website. We built one place for customers to discover the shop, see the services and book.

01 · The starting point

No dedicated website.

Before the project, Baba Yaro Barbers didn't have a website of its own. Customers were mainly sent straight to a Calendly booking link, and the rest of the shop's online presence was spread across social media.

Calendly was doing its job well: people could book. But there was no single place where a new customer could get a feel for the shop before choosing a time.

02 · The opportunity

One destination for customers.

Customers needed somewhere they could understand the business, see the services and prices, experience the brand, connect with its social channels and then book — all in one place, and all easy to use on a phone.

Before

  1. No dedicated website
  2. Calendly link used directly for bookings
  3. Social presence spread across platforms

03 · What we built

A website that feels like the shop.

A deep navy design in the shop's own colours of red, blue and white, with bold type. Built mobile-first, so it works well for customers who find the shop on their phone.

  • Services and pricesEach service listed with its price and appointment length.
  • Gallery of real workPhotos and short video clips from the shop, viewable full-screen.
  • Meet the barbersThe team, with names and specialities.
  • Booking built inPick a barber, then the existing Calendly calendar opens on the page.
  • Location and opening hoursAddress, hours and a map, so customers know where to go.
  • Mobile call and book barOn phones, Call and Book now stay fixed at the bottom of the screen.

04 · Keeping what worked

We didn't replace Calendly.

Calendly was already working for the shop, so there was no reason to swap it for something new just because a website was being built. Instead, we built the existing booking calendar into the website, so customers go from browsing the services to picking a time without leaving the page. Customers can choose which barber they'd like first, and that choice travels with the booking.

The calendar only loads when someone taps to book. That means the site sets no cookies at all until a customer asks to see it. There is no cookie banner in the way, and nothing is stored on the phone of someone who only wanted the opening times.

We don't replace your existing tools simply for the sake of it. Where it makes sense, we connect them into a better customer experience.
